Forage Cereals

Today, Agricom market an extensive range of forage cereal cultivars that offer farmers high quality grazing or silage options on a year round basis. Via an exclusive arrangement with Plant and Food Research, trial work and evaluation is conducted at sites nationwide to identify superior cultivars that will perform in a wide range of environments. Unique products such as DoubleTake multi-graze triticale is an example of this investment and relationship. Offering regrowth after late autumn/winter grazings, it can then be carried through for further silage options in the spring.

Other products include cereals for grazing, greenchop silage, and wholecrop cereal silage. Agricom’s portfolio includes familiar names such as Crackerjack, a true spring sown wholecrop triticale; Salute silage barley, along with Milton oats, which has versatility in generating quick winter feed or greenchop silage. The cereal range provides versatility in catering for differing grazing or silage requirements throughout the year.
